Devan Michael Flaherty

He is good at ping pong, I learned a lot about table tennis from him. One day we played 18 games in a row and I won them all. I think he was frustrated. Nonetheless we had a good time.
He's been a huge blessing in my life, for sure.  Sometimes he risks his body (hand) for the safety of His camera. He's a great photographer. He also taught me about that, specifically portraits.

We lived in California together for four months last year as we schooled at CCBC. Such good times. Once we slept on the beach. That was fun. Another time we read through Joel a couple times, while waiting for a Josh and Chris, it was good.

Some other great news is that Devan is getting married this Sunday. So, I'll be headed out to MT on thursday. I'm excited for the guy. I love him and know that the Lord is doing great things in his life and God will continue to do great things in Devan's life. Also, Devan and Jenn are pretty awesome together. Congratulations Devan!

Eat More Chicken.

Yes Please! Chick-fil-a is giving out free breakfast items everyday this week if you show up in your Pajamas. I went alone on Monday, but today (wednesday) I had enjoyed the great company of Katie, Anthony, Chris, Jesse (behind the camera) and Lee Jensen, who wears the cow costume (not pictured). We have good reason to be grateful for such an establishment.

College Days.

I spend most of my time in this place. 5+ hours a night I use it as a bed. 6+ hours a day I use it as a desk. I am not taking advantage of living in California

About Ten Minutes at Laguna Beach.

Then we met Sarah Brown and had A's burgers. So good. Check out Jesse Lusko's blog for some insight on the meal.

You can't get much for $1.06

However you can get one of these. I know they are making there way back in my life, you just need to ask yourself if they have a place in yours.

Free time in Murrieta

Sneaking in to high security level buildings. I like the challenge. ...with ice cream in my mouth.

We've all heard of the camera phone...

...but until now, none of us have seen one that stood up to the name. The Samsung Memoir. Pretty cool. 8 mega pixels is a good amount.

Lee Jensen

Is the name of the cow that always blocks my view during chapel.

Mail Room JOY!

I've been going to the mail room everyday for three weeks now. I knew that I was getting a book in, but I just couldn't remember which one. Josh, Jesse, Ryan, and I finishing up some PB&J's when one of the mail room attendants walked into the cafeteria and said, "Hey Mat, you have a package in the mail room" .... All I could do was smile. When I got there I signed my name and received a half open package with a book inside titled An Inquiry Concerning Human Understanding. I'm looking forward to reading it. Just a side note, I am not nor will I ever be a secular humanist.

Chuck Track Tanning...

...doesn't result in looking good. My first errand after the burn was to wal*mart for some Aloe vera. Chris told me red lobster called cause someone just ordered me.

p.s. I'm sorry if this picture is too much.

Cutlery Trees

The other day after picnicking with Josh and Chris I threw my fork in the grass it inspired me to say. How crazy would it be if I threw this butter knife into that palm tree "No way, that can't happen" Well Ladies and Gentlemen it did happen on my first try even!

The Longest time

I have not been able to post in a while. For some reason any time I attempted to log in. Some warning would pop-up and re-direct me it's good to be back. Hopefully I will be able to get you all up to date on some missing events. Including a palm tree and cutlery story as well as my lobster stomach Lovin'.
